Programme Overview

The Master in Nursing provides quality education at the post graduate level for interested individuals of Malaysian citizens and international. The nursing industry in Malaysia is constantly growing, and consequently the market for healthcare professionals remains competitive. By providing the nation with responsible, disciplined and qualified nurses, the country is able to take a further step towards developed country. With this program, the graduates can also assist the ever growing demands of public health awareness and nursing services. The graduates from this programme will be excel in their carrier as academicians, researchers, administrators or clinical nurses in the academic setting or hospitals.

For Malaysian candidates:

a.     A relevant Bachelor’s degree with minimum CGPA of 2.75 or equivalent from PICOMS International University College or any other accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent from related disciplines as accepted by senate 

b.     At least three (3) years working experience in relevant field.

c.     Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board or it equivalent.

d.     Demonstrate a good command of the English Language. 

–       MUET with minimum of Band 3 / IELTS with a minimum of 5.5 / TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80/ Credit in English SPM or STPM.

 

OR

 

a.     A relevant Bachelor’s degree or equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.50 or equivalent from PICOMS International University College or any other accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent from related disciplines as accepted by senate.

b.     At least two (2) years working experience in relevant field.

c.     Registered with Malaysian Nursing Board or it equivalent.

d.     Demonstrate a good command of the English Language. 

–       MUET with minimum of Band 3 / IELTS with a minimum of 5.5 / TOEFL with a minimum score of 515/215/80/ Credit in English SPM or STPM.

 

            For International candidates

a.     A relevant Bachelor’s degree from any other accredited institution of higher learning or equivalent from related disciplines as accepted by senate 

b.     International English Language Testing Services (IELTS) with a minimum of 5.5/CEFR B1

 

  OR 

 

c.     Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) with a minimum score of 410-413 paper-based/ TOEFL IBT (34)

  OR

d.     Cambridge English: Advance (CAE) score 160/ CEFR B2

 OR

e.     Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE) score 180/ CEFR C1

 

  OR

 

f.      Pearson Test of English (PTE) score 36

 

  OR 

 

g.     Malaysia University English Test (MUET) Band 3

 

     AND

h.     Registered with Nursing Board Malaysia OR country of origin.
