Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (OSH)

Programme Overview

The Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health program started since April 2014 and managed to get the Full Accreditation in May 2019 (MQA/ FA 2992). With enthusiasm to be the nation’s top provider in promoting the OSH education, we had pledge the journey and commitment to the next step on gaining local and international recognition.


This program prepares students with knowledge and skills in occupational safety and health (OSH) related field. The program was designed to suit the market and industrial demand. To enhance the students’ practical skills and ability, students are trained and exposed to the process of hazard identification, risk assessment and risk control (HIRARC) at the workplace with the aim of mitigating and minimizing the hazard impact.


The OSH personnel are responsible for:

• making sure that working environments are safe without risk

• designing safe and healthy working procedures and environments

• performing worksite inspections, as well as

• providing necessary training on various workplace safety, health and risk-related issues

As a DOSH graduates, they may work as a Safety Officer in all of the industries since the position is stated in OSHA 1994. Mainly on high demands in oil and gas, construction sites, factories/ manufacturing, petrochemical industries, hi-rise companies as well as small companies that prioritize on safety aspects.

  • SPM or equivalent with a pass Bahasa Melayu and English and get 3 credits in the following subjects;


    Mathematics or ONE science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science); and Any TWO other subjects (including English and / or Bahasa Melayu should get credit).




    GCE / O-Level or equivalent pass Bahasa Malaysia or English and get 3 credit (Grade C) in the following subjects:


    Mathematics or ONE science subject (Biology / Physics / Chemistry / General Science); and Any TWO other subjects (including English and / or Bahasa Melayu should get credit).




    Certificate in Health Science with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 

Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health is accredited program by MQA. Students who graduates from the program able to pursue their study in various Bachelor Degree programs:

  • Bachelor (Hons) in Environmental, Occupational Safety and Health
