PICOMS history began as early as 1993. The College was established by the Islamic Medical Centre Sdn Bhd was then known as Pusrawi College of Nursing . Its early inception was to provide the manpower needs in Hospital Pusrawi only with just providing the course of Clinic Assistant to become Nurse Assistant . The next year, the college is given the opportunity to run a Nursing Certificate courses that allow students to register with the Nursing Board Malaysia (LJM) as Trained Nurse . The intake allowed by LJM in a year is only for 40 students.
In 2003 under the Private Higher Educational Institutions Act , requiring all Private Higher Education Institutions (IPTS) to be registered under the Ministry of Higher Education. Majlis Agama Islam Wilayah Persekutuan (MAIWP) which is the full owner of the college has established a company called Anggun Mulia Sdn Bhd for administering the college. In 2010 , under the administration of Minister in the Prime Minister Department as the Chairman of MAIWP, has made a complete transformation in PICOMS . In January , 2010, the Minister has appointed me as the Executive Chairman and in August 2010 has appointed Mr. Ahmad Zakuan bin Khairuddin as Chief Executive Officer . The Anggun Mulia Sdn Bhd was later replaced with the Pusrawi International College of Medical Sciences Sdn Bhd . and in the same year with the rebranding of the College , it gives birth to PICOMS . 1994- NURSES TRAINING CENTER under administration of Pusrawi Hospital to train Clinic Assistant to become Nurse Assistant.
1998- PUSRAWI COLLEGE OF NURSING offering Diploma in Nursing ( still governed by Pusrawi Hospital
2007- The new administration is under Pusrawi Science & Nursing College Sdn. Bhd.
2008- Received full accreditation from MQA and LJM for Diploma in Nursing
2010- Change of name to PUSRAWI INTERNATIONAL COLLEGE OF MEDICAL SCIENCES ( PICOMS ) .
